Lots of News...Exciting News!

I realized the other day that I have not posted an update since June, and a great many things have happened since that time. And I am making up for lost time by posting two things in one day. So, the most important thing is that we are only 18 days away from traveling to Thailand to meet, hold, love on, and bring our son home! Wow! Can I say that it almost seems like a dream because this journey began more than 3 1/2 years ago.  Our Father has been so faithful to change us, sustain us, and provide for us as we have tried to walk this road trusting Him. His grace and love have been displayed to our family in so many ways, and we praise Him for all He has done. He has used many of you, our friends and family, His people, to display His grace through the generosity of your giving, the faithfulness of your prayers, and the constant presence of your encouragement. May I say again, with all of my heart, THANK YOU! We love and appreciate you and encourage you to continue to seek God and ask Him how He wants you to be involved in caring for orphans and encouraging adoptive families!

Please pray for our travel, for Anderson's transition and emotional attachment, for Alex and Aerin's adjustment, and for us to be able to express our love and care for our little one and understand his communication of his needs even with the initial language barrier we will face.  Pray that we will be able to display God's love to everyone with whom we come in contact in Thailand, and show our gratitude to the foster family and social workers who have impacted our son's life and taken such good care of him.

If you would like to donate some items for us to take to Thailand which will be given to Holt Sahathai Foundation to care for children in orphanages and foster care, you can email me at ctatum.support@gmail.com.  The items needed are diapers and wipes, and new or gently used clothes age 6 months to 3T. We are trying to scale down our packing so we have one suitcase to fill up with items for these precious children.

Lastly, if you would like to buy a raffle ticket to win some of the items we have left from our fundraiser sales, you may email me (at the same address listed above) with the subject line of RAFFLE and tell me how many tickets you would like to purchase at $3 per ticket. Include your email address, name, address, and contact phone number, and indicate if you would like to pay via Paypal (I will send you instructions) or with cash/check (you can mail the check, I will meet you to collect the cash). Because we have been so blessed to have our financial needs met for our adoption, we are going to pass the proceeds from the raffle on to another family who we know who are adopting!!!
