You asked...Here's what you can do!

As God has opened our eyes and hearts to the suffering of orphans all over the world (even in our own backyard), and we have shared our convictions and knowledge with others, we get a variety of reactions from very positive to not so enthusiastic.

Many people we meet, though, ask how they can get involved in caring for orphans and supporting adoption. There are some wonderful ministries out there that I have tried to highlight in past blogs, and countless opportunities for families and individuals to partner with organizations who help care for orphans and support adoptive families.
While journeying through this process, we have been blessed by the generosity and love of friends, family, and even acquaintances who felt a call to be a part of what God is doing in Anderson's life to bring him home.  And God has broken our hearts over the countless orphans throughout the world who are hungry, vulnerable, and hurting. We know that when Anderson comes home, God will open our eyes to more and different ways that we can be a part of showing the love of Jesus Christ to these "forgotten" of society, who have never been forgotten by God.  Until then, our eyes are fixed firmly on Jesus as we complete this journey... a journey to make sure there is one less orphan in the world...to complete Anderson's adoption and welcome him into our family as our son.  There are countless organizations and precious adoptive families who need your support and our support. But today, I am going to ask you to pray about specifically supporting our family's adoption and getting some really great merchandise at the same time.

As we have prayed about the our financial needs to pay for travel to get our son, we continue to seek God to ask how we can be faithful in the use of every penny He has entrusted to us.  We found out about a great organization, 147millionorphans.com that was founded by two adoptive moms who wanted to help raise awareness of just how many orphans there are in the world, as well as use the profits to benefit some very special ministries (Please see my link to Amazima Ministries on the right hand side of my blog for more information).  Being adoptive moms, they also wanted to be a part of helping adoptive families raise funds for their adoptions. So, they have agreed to allow us to advertise and sell their products in order to raise money for our adoption travel expenses.

If you want to buy a really nice t-shirt or some beautiful beads, support a great organization, and help bring Anderson  home, here is what you can do:
